Description

An established PR 3 WordPress site in the rapidly growing 2012 niche. Created on New Year’s day 2009, this site has claimed its place amongst the established 2012 sites on the web.

Easy growth to PR 4. Site content includes more than 70 posts/pages and already has 62 subscribers via Feedburner, including 51 email subscribers who are notified via email whenever your post something new. Click here to see what a feed looks like – this is also what appears in subscriber’s email inboxes.

Google AdSense revenue averages $17 a month with eCPM @ $1.47 despite the owner not having made much of an effort yet. Clickbank sales (a recent additiona) netted $62 in January.

Google Page 1 keywords include: beyond 2012, how to prepare for 2012, preparing for 2012, prepare 2012, doomsday 2012 movie, national geographic 2012 and 2012 national geographic.

Site recently integrated with three premium 2012 affiliate products, via attractive, prominent rotating ad box. Many more 2012 affiliate products are on the market. For the auction, I am using images in the rotator box (that change every page change or screen refresh). Easy to change what appears in this box (add links to images to posts, affiliate products, other pages in your site, other sites..)

Book review posts integrated with Amazon. Site easily promotes books and other Amazon products. Amazone offers a minimum of 4% on all sales originating from the site.

Fully customised, unique WordPress site powered by Thesis Theme with unique header, footer and background images, customised typography, plugins, you name it. There is not another site on the web that looks like this one. The background, header, footer and portal images are all based on photos I personally took and photoshopped from the American Museum of Natural History.

Fully integrated Forum, 2012 Portal image map site directory and archives.

Very easy to build this site up into a top performing blog or evergreen website depending on your business plan. Check out the portal to see the range of topics it covers. You can stay broad, go narrow or do whatever you choose.

I’m selling because managing 6 sites is too much on top of full-time work.

I did all the design work myself which is easily $500 worth of web design. All the traffic is built organically – did not pay for traffic at any point. Search engines love this site. The theme used is Thesis Theme – a premium theme that the new owner will have to buy a personal licence for (eventually) to access lifetime upgrades, lifetime support and access to the amazing forum.

There is also an affiliate program so whenever somebody likes the theme and clicks on a link in your footer for example to buy the theme, you make between $27 and $54 affiliate commission. You don’t even have to promote it other than by having a link in your footer (standard place to look to see what theme someone is using). It is free to join and you can make your thesis theme once only $87 personal licence fee back very quickly. If someone wants to use the theme on an unlimited number of sites, they buy the developer’s licence for $167 and you make $54. So in as little as two referrals, you basically get your theme for free.

The sale of the site includes $110 worth of hosting – about 11 months – with Webcity in Australia. They offer international 24/7 support and are very reasonably priced with great service. I used them for all of my sites and have never had any issues. Transfer is a simple form and can be done as soon as the transaction is complete. You do not have to use the hosting, I can also download the server backup zip file for you to put on your own server/hosting provider – but to start with it might be easier just to login with passwords and work directly without worrying about transfer.

Revenue Details

I have not not promoted this site yet and has built traffic organically via SEO and more than 70 quality articles. Google AdSense is about $17 a month so far with only a few Google AdSense ad units with potential for much greater earnings with additional ad units, increasing traffic, etc.

Additional irregular income from Amazon book sales.

Newly integrated premium 2012 affiliate products have not yet been promoted (only recently discovered by owner), each return about $31 per sale. Both affiliate products rated highly by Wealthy Affiliate University’s Clickbank research tool.

A must see site for anyone interested in the amazing 2012 niche with a strong top level domain.

Traffic Details

Average monthly page views during past 6 months is 35,580.

Average monthly unique visitors during past 6 months is 8,730.

No traffic generation strategies have been utilised yet – traffic to date is purely organic.

The “2012 phenomenon” is such an interesting topic to debate. I personally think that the year 2012 will bring an era of forced humbleness and enlightenment. The recession will have turned into a depression by then, and people will be forced to unite and return to simple, core human values…. those are my cents, anyway. :)

Felilah – I’m with you on that but I can’t help wonder what the reaction of those who believe otherwise will be. The ones who panic may well induce unpleasant economic outcomes.

Hi. I desired to drop you a fast note to express my thank you. I have been following your internet sites for a month or so and have picked up a ton of valuable information as fortunate as enjoyed the way in which you’ve structured the web site. I’m attempting to run personal place but I think its too typical and I want to focus total on more compact topics. Being all things to all lots of is not all that its cracked up to be.

The first thing you need to do is get a fantastic unique header. I recommend the Blog Header Guy – he does amazing work for $47. You have to check out his site and examples. Appearances are everything.

Your visitor will make a decision as to whether they stay or leave your site in about 1-3 seconds. That ‘back’ button is easy to click on. If your header is professional they will usually at least look around and see what you have to offer. If you have quality content that isn’t just made to sell – they will invest some time. If they are looking for something in particular, then your nav menu and other signposts are all important.

Hi Bulls!

Nice site, really digging the theme!

Just so you know I was pointed here thanks to a search on 2012, so I expect congratulations are in order. (You’re on to something good here, I’ve never seen domains marketed like this, though I figure that must be how you sold this one – superior salesmanship!) Can you believe I’ve never seen Flippa before? Thanks for opening up a whole new avenue for me.

Hi Bulls (love the name)!
Thanks for introducing us to Flippa!
You are right bounce rates are high if you cannot keep someone on your site for more then 3 seconds… so i think your 2012 topic is perfect for keeping someone.
