Newbies Shine New Light On Blogging Strategies

25 Dec 09

I just visited Rajesh Kanuri’s site TechCats for the first time and read 2 articles on commenting and building traffic. When I read these tips I realised that bloggers who have been around for 12 months or more often forget the basics.

traffic sources pie chartRajesh offers 5 solid ways to build traffic:

  • Social Bookmarking Websites
  • Link & Thumb Exchanges
  • Guest Posting
  • Commenting on blogs
  • Start a contest and give prizes

If you are new to blogging or have forgotten the basics, read Rajesh’s article How To Get Instant Traffic to Your Blog and start taking action.

Rajesh’s other article I found interesting was How Commenting Will Increase & Drive More Traffic To Your Blog.

It has been 2 months I have started TechCats and now we are in position of 100+ unique visits per day, 200-300 page views and Alexa Rank close to 150k, these all happened because of the continuous efforts to make at least one post per day and also commenting on other blogs.
