Have you heard of the need to have at least 10 feature articles on your niche topic?
What about other urban myths that say your site needs 100 feature articles? How about 1,000?
How on Earth can a normal person write these articles for their site in a hurry? The answer to this question is of course, you can but it will take you time. If you average 2 articles a week of the quality you desire, you will have your 100 articles within a year.
If you are like many and don’t want to wait 1-2 years to get lots of good quality articles on your site about your main areas of interest, you may want to consider hiring somebody to help you.

Pay Peanuts For Articles & Copywriting
I am not offering you my services here. Nor do I make any money by recommending or even mentioning the following site. I just came across it in my web travels and thought it was worth letting you know about.
GetAFreelancer.com is a site for blog owners and blog service providers to advertise and buy services…

If you want somebody to do some work for you
You can find people who are good at what you need done by simply place an ad stating what you want and how much you’re willing to pay for it. Those people with the expertise place a bid for you to consider. You can get people to assist you with:
- Copywriting = article writing
- Banner and graphic design
- Flash and php
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Website design and promotion
- Proofreading
- Lots of other programming stuff that makes my eyes roll back
GetAFreelancer, in its tips for setting a realistic price for services, says…
Buyers want to pay as little as possible for the best quality work while sellers want to earn a fair rate of return on their investment of skills and time. Somewhere in the middle of those two needs lies a win-win situation if you are willing to look for it.
If you are a service provider and want to make some money
If you want to make some money doing what you do well – you can bid on a project.
There are time limits and standards set for each job and sometimes payment is only at the end when the quality standards have been met. Some jobs pay too low in my opinion, for example $1.50 per 500 word article for a job of 10, 100 or 1,000 articles. However if you want to make some money and and can pump out articles quickly, go for it. Make some US Dollar income.
You can join and post an ad for free at GetAFreelancer (GAF).
Example Article Writing Project
I had a look at the top 100 service providers and had a look at the kind of work they had successfully bid on, to get a feel for the kind and quality of the work you can buy at GAF. I came across a project “6 SEO Articles on Meditation“.
We need 6 well-written, informative and instructive articles including the keywords we will provide to you. Each article is to be from 600 to 800 words and must have a keyword optimization of 2 to 5%. Each article will be checked for keyword optimization percentage.
The articles are to read smoothly and be written in a conversational tone. The articles must be instructive to the reader and leave the reader wanting to read more and to visit our site.
No run-on sentences and no grammatical mistakes. Introductory paragraph must make the reader interested in going forward into the article. All articles must include an attention-getting headline, contain completely original material and may not be used again. We hold all copyright rights to the material provided.
The topic of the articles will be meditation. We need the writer to be interested in this topic or practice meditation already as we are looking for a long term relationship.

33 bids were recieved for an average total price of $48. This is $8 per article for some really good content if the writer delivers.
My Experience With Paying For Articles & Using Free Articles From Article Directories
I am a bit skeptical about the quality aspects of bought articles. I paid for one article once for $6 to try out the exercise of buying content.
You can read it here…Why we need tranquility.
Now I have to say that I think the article was well written, it included the ideas I suggested and probably has a reasonable SEO value, but it just isn’t written in my own personal style [under development].
Other articles that I have published on my sites, obtained for free from Article directories, have provided just as much traffic, didn’t cost me anything, didn’t cost me anything [I did that on purpose] and provide a link to somebody who is trying to make a living out of writing.
Even though using free content is cheating, sometimes I do it to share the Google juice and get a different voice on my sites. Guest posts are especially enjoyable when you both have blogs on similar content. The Thesis Theme Community is a great example of sharing and caring. If you find a Thesis Site that has tutorials to help you do something, chances are they recognize their source of inspiration, expertise or a great example of how it is done well.
At the end of the day, blogging is all about learning and sharing information, discoveries and ideas that others may or may not come across in their daily surfing. The personal gratification of sharing your thoughts and discoveries with others is what I am all about. I love this new world I discovered in 2008. Writing your own articles, publishing others with permission or paying people who write them for you is all perfectly acceptable.
