Fall in love with the Thesis Theme for Wordpress – we did!
We started our first site in Sep 2008 after purchasing a Personal License. After becoming hooked on the many different ways we could make our site look and behave by customizing it – we upgraded to the Developer’s License. In our first 3 months on the internet as professional bloggers, we had developed four separate sites – thanks to the help of Chris Pearson and his team – using the Thesis Theme for Wordpress.
Introducing 5 of Our Sites – Using the Thesis Theme for Wordpress
Before we start reviewing other fantastic blogs that use the Thesis Theme, we thought we might introduce some of our sites that use the Thesis Theme – actually we don’t use any other theme since finding Thesis!

Okay – I had to control myself. Instead of Mind Mapping HQ, we have just developed Bully, using a .ws domain. I’ll leave up the initial design work I did because I think it was great. Anyone interested in a second-hand banner? I can change the wording and flick it to you via email. First in, best dressed.
Bully – Just Do It!
A blog about Life, the Universe and Everything. This is our most recent (March 2009) site and probably our last for a while. This can get addictive!
Showcasing The Thesis Theme
The Thesis Theme is of course, also used for this site.
We will be reviewing many fine examples of Bold, Bright and Beautiful Blogs using the Thesis Theme for WordPress in the near future. Until we get started, take a look at the Thesis demo to see it in action.
You get lifetime support, upgrades and customization tips. Better still, whenever you post a question or comment in the forum you are virtually guaranteed of a response by Chris himself (the developer) or one of the many knowledgeable/expert users of the theme.
You do not need to understand programming to use this theme and you can make custom changes to make the site totally unique. The Thesis site has a fantastic showcase of actual sites that have customized the theme – you can submit yours for consideration as soon as you love it. We plan to make some modification over time as we learn grow our site.
The Thesis Theme doesn’t need much tinkering. You open up a nice user friendly screen (no coding necessary) and check the boxes, select some settings and press the “Big Ass Save Button”. Within an hour you can be writing your content.
It is RELIABLE, POWERFUL, FLEXIBLE and has FANTASTIC SUPPORT. I am not exaggerating (hence the upper caps).

Thesis is undoubtably one of the best themes ever created, when I start my next blog I will certainly be purchasing it instead of designing my own theme again.

I’ve been reading lots of buzz about Thesis theme. Is it customizable for non-coders?
And how well does it work? I wrangled the CSS on my theme, but suspect it is buggy.

@ witchypoo – I am certainly not a programmer but have created four unique sites now with very little effort. I learnt about basic html late last year when I discovered Squidoo, and learnt some basic php and css through the Justin Tadlock site (originally tried out the free Options theme) and the rest through the Thesis Theme Forum.
To customize this site I have used the custom style sheet. I borrowed desired snippets of code from various Thesis Forum threads and hacked up my own custom style sheet. Feel free to have a look at it here
I’ll be posting articles in the future explaining how to set up a site using WordPress, Thesis and making it unique. Stay tuned – better yet – subscribe for updates.

I liked all the 5 sites, without exception, and I think the thesis topic is chosen correctly.
i love the thesis theme, it is very easy and seo friendly. customization makes a lot more easier.
i am currently searching for the thesis theme custom css. anyone offering such stuff?
i like all the sites, pretty amazing what thesis can do..
I’m using thesis theme now. it’s a great theme, does all my work easier.
Ohmobiles – the custom.css is a blank file. Thesis Theme users copy and paste css from the forum – depending on what they want – or write their own css code. Every Thesis Theme site is basically different. The custom.css file overrides the default css file. To get the default css file you have to buy the Thesis Theme. If you want to read the css files for a site, you can get a Firefox add on – surf through their options.
I like the Mind Mapping site the best. I’m not a big fan of designs that uses backgrounds with too many confusing pictures like the e.g. the Opportunities HQ. It takes away too much focus from the content IMO.
