Squeeze Theme is for sale at Flippa AGAIN. The Buy-it-now price is now $85,000 – less than half of their original auction price of $180,000 about 2 months ago.
In case you didn’t read my first post Squeeze Theme.com for Sale at Flippa for $180,000 – Buyer Beware, as way of a recap I recommended against purchasing the Squeeze Theme site and accessories.
The first auction got bids up to $26,000 and the site wasn’t sold. With about 23 days to go as I type, the Take-2 auction has not received any bids yet since it was opened at $35,000.
According to the creators and current owners of Squeeze Theme etc, UBD: “the person who wanted to purchase the site after the auction closed [last time] backed out of the deal at the last minute.”
What’s Changed Since the First Auction?
Squeeze Page Plugin
Apart from the Buy-it-now price shrinking by more than half, down from $180,000 to $85,000…
Since the first auction, Squeeze Theme has released a squeeze page plugin for $97. You now get – when you are the successful bidder on the auction – an extra product and the potential to make more money! However, the overall asking price is less than half of the original auction.
The first auction asking price was more than twice the current asking price. They asked way too much the first time.
Officially launched on 2 August 2010, there is a poor-quality (low resolution) video demo of how a user familiar with the workings of the Squeeze Page plugin, and with the text and code ready (prepared earlier) for pasting into the page template, would use the plugin.
In my opinion this plugin is over-priced and inferior to my plugin of choice for creating squeeze pages: WP Squeeze Page Plugin.
- The video doesn’t provide good quality images and the sales page does not answer questions in text. If you have questions, I assume you send an email via their contact form (after you find the link).
- There is a 30 day guarantee and without knowing what you are getting until after you pay, it is a fair bet that there will be a decent number of refunds.
For my full review of the Squeeze Page Plugin read my post:
Squeeze Camp 2.0
A 16 week online/email course is now taking bookings at $197 per head. This may be the reason why sales improved in July 2010 instead of continuing their downward trend.
I also notice that people who paid for the first Squeeze camp are welcome to do Squeeze Camp 2.0 as a free upgrade. Surely that indicates that it has improved since the first one. How many times would you do a 16 week course twice!?
Quick, get in now before the limited places are sold out. You’ll have to wait another 16 weeks at least before the next course if you don’t get in now. No link to the course here…only sarcasm.
- I purchased and started Squeeze Camp 1.0 and requested a refund before the end of week 2 due to poor quality of materials and late delivery of ‘weekly’ course materials.
Gross revenue for the three months prior to July was $11,153, $8,336 and $5,997 and back up to $18,510. No doubt about it, launches make money! And an email course for $197 a pop doesn’t hurt either.
Gross Revenue versus Net Revenue
Affiliate commissions need to be paid still and there is always the possibility of refunds within the 30 day refund period for the plugin and whatever the refund period is for the squeeze camp. And, don’t forget refunds for the Squeeze Theme - that could be quite costly.
I said it in my first review but I will say it again. ..
Squeeze Theme / UBD do not give you real-life examples from the community of Squeeze Theme users.
- You will be hard pressed to find active, successful examples of their theme or their plugin on the web.
- You will notice that all of the positive reviews for Squeeze Theme plugin and Squeeze Theme are by people who DO NOT use the theme/plugin.
- Compare this to the Thesis Theme community and the 20,000+ users who proudly show off their sites whenever they can.
- I DO NOT recommend this product.
This said, don’t be surprised if net revenue drops significantly lower than $18,000 odd dollars for July.

My final words, “Buyer Beware”
All I can say, is if you are considering buying Squeeze Theme and are willing to invest $35,000 – $85,000, read this review and read my earlier review.
- If UBD can satisfy your questions, then great.
- If you buy Squeeze Theme and want to make a fresh go of it…contact us and let us know what will be different. The product, price and service needs to be improved to satisfy this little black duck…and many more people out there like me.
