While RSS feeds and email subscriptions are wonderful things, sometimes you just want to ‘see’ if there is anything interesting to read on one of your favourite sites.
As detailed 10 Reasons Why You Should Try Wowzio Widgets On Your Blog/Site – Wowzio is an amazing web application.
I use it on Thesis Theme HQ’s home page as an alternative for a Featured Posts Slideshow (check out our home page if you haven’t already).
- You can adjust the width and height or leave it to grow/shrink to fit.
- It draws your last 50 images with the title of the post all hyperlinked for your readers – so they can jump to an article that interests them.
Wowzio draws your last 50 images.
If you have 50 images in one post – which is a bit strange but possible – then your Wowzio Widget will only be showing off that post. The pros are that your readers are probably going to be encouraged to read your last 2-12 posts, depending on how long they are mesmerized by the images.

Showcase your internet activities and broad interests (or specific) by having all of your Wowzio Widgets in the one place.

If you can’t get hold of a Wowzio Widget – because there is a bit of a lottery now to get one – do a search to see if one exists already.
I searched Blogussion for example for ‘wowzio’ and couldn’t find a mention of it on Alex’s site. But, a Wowzio Widget does exist for his site.

Wow, I will have to look if this will suit my blog and thanks for the mention.
I like the idea, but I don’t like linking to external sites to much as sometimes it can slow down your page loading. I might consider it. Thanks for letting me know via email.
